I have a proprietary software I am attempting to load.
As part of the process, I have been given the following instructions:
"Before you can run the software, you need to make some Windows system changes. Edit the CM7 folder, under “Properties”, “Security” tab” select “Full control”, then the “Edit” button. Select the correct user group from the above list and uncheck all “Deny” boxes, making sure the user group has Full control. Then click on “Apply” then the “OK” button. Under the “General” tab, unselect the “Read-Only”. Then click on “Apply” then the “OK” button. If you created a desktop icon, right click on it, select “Properties” then “Advanced” and check the “Run as administrator” box and press “OK”.
Under Windows settings, lower the UAC to its lowest settings, to prevent prompting for Administrator password each time the user runs the program. Change the users account so he/she is a member of the “Administrator group”.""
Any ideas how I can perform these functions?
