Program downloading info from the net

Hi all. First post. Not sure if similar issues were addressed before but after searching for a while did not see anything on the message board.

I just started using CO. For a couple of years, I had Parallels on my mac but I only needed it for one program, the only windows software I ever use. CO seems a much better solution.

This software, called "CatVids", is a data base for movies, dvds and blu-Ray. It needs to access the internet to download information about the movie when you add a new entry.

Of course, the program is not supported. Still, I was happy that I was able to install it (after a couple of hickups). Unfortunaly, when the software tries to do a quary on a movie online to download the info, it shows a little progress then it just freezes. It seems that it is doing the search but when the time comes to show what it found and gives the user the option to download the info it just freezes.

I do not have a fire wall. I do have "Little Snitch" but I set it up in a way to allow both this program and "Crossover" to access the net. I even did a test when I turned "little Snitch" completely off. Still the same problem.

Anybody can help with this?? I'd really appreciate it.

I'm not sure if this will help, but you could try installing IE6 into the same bottle with your app. IE6 won't be usable in this setup, but it provides a lot of libraries that your program may be trying to find to get out to the net.
