DUMB QUESTION PROBABLY adding Java and Flash to IE6

I need to run IE6 from an XP bottle to access a web application that requires both JAVA and Flash.  When I login in to the app it tells me that Flash is missing but when I click the link, I do not get the yellow Install ActiveX control bar although Adobe tells me it's probably there.  I checked the help file for both flash and java but neither appeared.  I understand the Crossover is faking out there being a real version of Windows present when one is not so maybe this is not possible.

Any guidance appreciated.  I have a workaround using a VM, but CX would be much faster and lighter.

It's really not a dumb question.  Getting Java & Flash into an IE6 bottle is not trivial.

Here are the skeleton steps, if you need more details please email

Create a win98 bottle and install IE6

Make the additional packages on CrossOver visible and install 'flash 9 ocx' from the list of applications

Download the Java installer and install it

Upgrade the bottle to WinXP

Visit a testing sight to make sure it can retrieve the proper Java version

Visit the sight that requires Java & Flash.

Good luck!
