I downloaded CrossOver Mac and started the installation of MS Office XP. I selected Office XP from the list of programs. I chose to install it in a new bottle named "Microsoft Office XP." The CrossOver Software Installed window opened. It read as follows:
"Please wait while CrossOver launches the requested installer." In the box was "Preparing to install" and "Installing Microsoft Office XP."
An hour and 40 minutes later, nothing had changed. I tried to force the installation. Crossover simulated a Windows reboot and started to update or reinstall the desktop manager. Eventually, I was told that the installation had failed.
Can anyone tell me what went wrong and what I might do, if anything, to install Office XP successfully?
