I'm trying to download a Steam demo, but when I do it launches safari and asks if I have steam installed. I say yes, but then nothing happens.

You'll need to install Firefox for Windows (http://download.mozilla.org/?product=firefox-3.5&os=win&lang=en-US) into the same bottle as Steam and then try the demo download again. That should launch Firefox instead of Safari and complete the download.
