I play a mmorpg called 12-sky. It installs nicely and got me excited at first but then it gives me the same error you get when you have no internet. So for some reason it cant connect to the internet.
Is this a common problem with other programs? is there anything i can do?

We sometimes see connectivity with Office applications in Crossover Mac Standard. A common trick is to install IE6 into the same bottle as the program - this lends IE6's connectivity libraries to the application, and can often help overcome connectivity issues.
You can also try setting up an HTTP proxy within the bottle settings if you've got access to one.
