I've searched for an answer, but it is very tedious, and I no longer have active support to submit a ticket on this.
After I initially purchased Crossover for Mac (OS/X 10.5), I experienced something that made me wonder why I bothered - like something didn't work right (forgot what).
So now I reinstalled Crossover and discovered that it is still trying to initialize bottles.
I can't delete the bottles that are there - it seems to be hung.
I am considering just going into the Application Support folder for Crossover and deleting the bottles there.
So what would happen if I did? Will that allow me to create new bottles without harm?
Deleting the bottle directories inside Library/Application Support/Crossover is a perfectly acceptable method of clearing out your old bottles. Of course, you won't be able to get them back, but it won't harm Crossover at all. You'll be able to go into Configure->Manage Bottles and create new ones with no problem.
