VMWare Fusion allows very convenient swapping of the Cmd and Ctrl keys when running Windows. On the Mac, copy is Cmd+C, paste is Cmd+V etc. When running Windows apps through VMWare Fusion, I can use all the same keyboard shortcuts -- but not when using CrossOver. CrossOver would be a great product if it allowed this simple thing. The one thing that prohibits me from working in CrossOver effectively is just that: the fact that I have to remember to use a different key for keyboard shortcuts between native Mac apps and the Windows apps running over CrossOver.
CrossOver has a special handling of Cmd+X, Cmd+C, Cmd+V, but your point is still valid for other key combos. I'll file a bug in our internal bugtracker and ask our Mac expert what he thinks about this.
