CrossOver has a simple OpenGL wrapper which just forwards all OpenGL calls to the MacOS/Linux OpenGL library. Thus you have to install a 3D driver for your Linux system. On MacOS, OpenGL should work out of the box.
Of course the App may be confused because the GL library is not provided by Microsoft, but instead written by Apple or the Linux devs. In this case the app is arguably broken, because it should not rely on a specific GL lib.
