Hi. I am new to mac in general and I recently bought this IMAC for the soul purpose of having a high quality/functioning computer. There's no doubt that macs are awesome, but I have a problem. I am currently using your program to try to install MS Works 9.0, 8.0, and or 7.0 so I can read my business files that are were saved as wps. I did mot want to convert hands of files by saving as a different format. This is where I run into red tape.
I tried to install Microsoft woks 9.0 on OSX platform using Crossover, but alas upon executing the 'works' application it tells me 'The microsoft license terms cannot be displayed. these license terms must be displayed and excepted before you can us MS works. To display these terms, please reinstall. I have reinstalleD!
Then when I try to install MS works 7.0 the installer goes in a loop of installing Frame-net 2.1 and the installer never goes to the install the actual program. Any help would be appreciated as I cannot do much business until I can access these files. ( tried using word from office 2007, but the formating comes out horribly disfigured.
Office 2008 (your new Mac should have come with a trial of it) may be able to open a Works document. If Works needs .NET frameworks to run it's not going to work under Crossover yet.
