Scroll sensitivity

It seems scroll sensitivity is very high when running programs in crossover/wine. Is it possible to adjust the sensitivity?

Was looking for answer to exactly this issue...
Yes, it would be nice to have settings for how many lines per scroll like in Windows mouse properties.

CrossOver gets this setting from your Mac.

Go to the Apple Icon in the upper left corner, open System Preferences, and then choose "Mouse".

This will allow you to adjust the mouse sensitivity on your system.

You can also try flipping a registry key for the scroll speed setting. This was implemented for trackpad scrolling in some productivity applications. In some cases, the situation will get worse, in others it will drastically improve.

The key is:

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Wine\Mac driver]
"UsePreciseScrolling"="n"

If you are unfamiliar with setting a registry key, please follow this tutorial:

This new registry entry fixed the scroll in Visio 2003

This Registry Key doesn't exist in my bottle. The (Magic Mouse) sensitivity is fine for the Mac programs but is ridiculously sensitive for the CrossOver application such that it is unusable. Are there any other ideas?

I have temporarily bypassed the problem by plugging in an old Microsoft Mouse (as well as the Magic Mouse - it doesn't seem to mind). This one behaves properly - so the conclusion is that the Magic Mouse is sending FAR too many scroll pulses through to the application - Mac apps seem to be able to cope with this but not Windows ones under CrossOver.

Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
