My company has a lot of eclipse based applications, Rich Client Programs that ship as a setup.exe and generate an exe to start them.
They do not create a Mac or Linux version.
I just tried to install one under Crossover and the installer threw an error and the start up threw an error.

when I search the forum I see the common response that eclipse is cross platform, but not in this case.
I'm also hoping to install Rational Developer for i or RDi, again eclipse based, development IDE.
This is available only for Windows and RedHat.
I have tried to install it on my Mac by copying over the files from a PC install and executing a jar, as well as just installing base eclipse (which is for the Mac) and copying over all the plugins and features but I cannot apply my license to use the specific features I need.
The infall process this uses is to install an eclipse based installation manager and then that is used to install RDi and apply licenses.
I would assume if I install both in the same bottle they could find each other?
Thanks for any help
Jeff
