got Crossover to play an MMORPG, Asheron's Call. The software worked great allowing me to download the game and upload the launcher.
However when trying to log into the game it crashes with the message: The game encountered a fatal DirectX issue while attempting to start.
Try a different screen resolution or bit depth. If that doesn't work try new video drivers.
I read a post about this/something similar with a guy and the game "Gun"
I did as the admin said there and unchecked the "hide" button to reveal MS DirectX
I downloaded it through Crossover and it's placed in the same bottle as Asheron's Call, "winxp"
The game still crashes from launch with the same message. I've repaired AC.exe and it's the same ouctome.
Do I need to move AC into it's own bottle and then move DirectX into that bottle?
I really want crossover to work for me instead of going through bootcamp but currently I'm baffled and at an utter loss.

P.S. I am using the trial version of Crossover to Mac, wanted to make sure it worked before purchase is that an issue? and..
I am using a Hannspree external monitor with resolution currently at: 1280 x 960 32bit color.
It can easily go to 1920 x 1200. Could this be an issue too? i'm so lost..
