EDIT: I've found a couple workarounds for a couple of apps. Warcraft II adheres to the settings in the GOG settings app. Diablo II runs in a window with the "-w" flag. It appears that GOG Diablo+Hellfire does not following the settings specified in the DirectX settings app that is installed alongside it. Odd that the WC2 one works. but D1 does not.
My understanding is that X11 is not in use for 19.0.2 and the Mac driver will not allow apps to run in an emulated virtual desktop (i.e. windowed mode). Is there a way to force the use of X11 so I can run games in an emulated virtual desktop?
If not, is there a solution for games like the GOG releases of Diablo and Warcraft II not adhering to the graphics settings set by the GOG app?
If you want to run your games in a window, download DxWnd: https://sourceforge.net/projects/dxwnd/. It lets you run any game in a window. Just check "Run in window" in Dxwnd's settings for the game. I've also heard that with the right configurations, you can even get rid of lag, but I'm not going to go into detail about that since I wasn't so successful about it.
