Excel 2007 add-ins do not install

Excel keeps crashing when I try to install the following add-ins:
Analysis Toolpak, Analysis ToolPak - VBA, Conditional Sum Wizard, Lookup Wizard, Solver Add-in.
Am I missing something? I selected them in the customized installation, they show up in the excel options, but completely shutdown excel when added and I am prompted to disable them.

Thanks for your help,

Max

It doesn't look like any of the add-ins currently work right in Crossover, but we're looking into it and hopefully they'll get fixed up in a later release of Crossover.

Thank you for the reply I will be looking forward to that release.

Wondering if there is any update? I am a new Crossover user, and need the Analysis Tool Pack to work for my school work....any timeframe for when we will be able to install the add-ins?

Eric

We haven't done any specific testing for most add-ins, but with the improvements made to Office 2007 support in Crossover 8.0 there is a much better chance. If you like, you can download a pre-release beta of the upcoming Crossover 8.0 from your My Account->My Downloads->Unsupported Downloads section on our website, and then try installing the Analysis Tool Pack. Otherwise, the final release should be out next week.

Thanks for the update - will wait until next week for the official release and see if it works. Thanks!

Downloaded and upgraded to v8.0 pro. Tried to install Excel (2007) add-ins for Analysis Toolpack and Solver. Neither installed correctly, and when attempted return errors with symbols (not words). Since they were installed under crossover for mac 7.2, do I need to uninstall office and reinstall to get the add-ins to work?

Warm regards,
Eric

I believe that that would be the best route to follow. The components necessary for things such as Equation Editor have only just been added to CrossOver, so to get Equation Editor to work, you must reinstall. I believe if Solver and Analysis Toolpack are going to work, the same steps will need to be followed.

I'm having the same problem with the Solver issue in release 8.0.3 I installed the add-in with a fresh install & it still did not work.

Same error box with the cryptic script & everything.

Anyone know a work-around until add-on support is incorporated into the official release?

Thanks,

-Dave

Has this been fixed in Snow Mallard?

I could get Solver to install in 9.0, and it kind of runs as well and managed to optimize a sample problem I made. But, you can't change any options or produce any reports (gives you an error message, and Excel hangs).
