Outlook 2007 Stuck in FullScreen Mode

I saw a couple of threads on here for outlook being eternally stuck in fullscreen mode but none of them addressed\fixed my issue. I am testing Crossover version 9 and so far its been ok, but I am having some issues. The one issue that will prevent me from buying the software is that Outlook is stuck in Full Screen mode. Nothing I have been able to do will move it back to windowed mode. This is really annoying as I like to move outlook to my external monitor when I am at work and when its stuck in full screen it will not allow you to move it. If you right click on outlook it always shows the window as maximized and will not switch out of it. Because of that the resize arrows do not work. Anyone else have and idea how to resolve this issue?

Thanks in advance.

Did you try an emulated virtual desktop?

Configure->Manage Bottles->Control Panel->Wine Config->Graphics->Emulate a virtual desktop

Set it to the resolution you want and it should be a smaller window.

Just tried it and it does not make a difference. Its like the changes dont apply and then you restart Crossover and the changes are gone.

Edit,
I was a able to get it to do what you suggested with the windowing finally, but that makes the entire wine desktop permanent. Once I switch back Outlook is stuck in full screen mode again. Any other suggestion go fix what is locking it in full screen mode?

The changes makes that bottle that particular emulated size so everything that bottle will be the same resolution.

If you're selecting a smaller resolution size that full screen, Outlook shouldn't be running full screen.

I'm not sure what you mean by switch back? Can you tell me what steps you're doing to make this happen?

What I mean is that I dont want to emulate it in a Virtual Desktop. I want it to run like any other app runs on OSX in its own window. Switching to a virtual desktop makes it run like you are remoted into another system. I want it to run like it is when you set it up as default. Then it looks like just any other app running that you can resize or drag to an external monitor. It never used to be stuck in full screen until yesterday. Now it is always stuck in full screen and when it is you cannot move it between spaces or external monitors on my Macbook Pro. I want to know how to fix the glitch or bug that sticks it in permenant fullscreen.

I have seen this issue as well with an older version of CXoffice on linux. (Don't have a MAC) The problem seems to be something with the softwares screen size. I fixed it by enabling a virtual screen smaller than my normal resolution, then starting the process, unmaximizing the process in there. Then I closed it all down, and disabling the virtual screen. From then on everything worked as expected. I have seen and fixed this issue 2x on Linux.

Yes, something like that should work.

This problem seems to affect all of the Office 2007-generation programs.

It seems to be due to the fact that the program is getting confused when the window size just happens to match the maximized window size (the screen size). It thinks it is maximized even when it isn't. You try to unmaximize it, it switches to the unmaximized window size, that size happens to be the same as the maximized window size, and the program goes back to thinking the window is maximized.

Temporarily use a virtual desktop window to get it out of maximized mode and to size the window to be different than the maximized size (of either the virtual desktop window or your full screen). Then, when you next launch it, it should come up unmaximized at a non-full-screen size, and it should be fine. Unfortunately, you then have to be careful to not maximize it or even just resize it to fill the screen.

This issue is entered into our bug tracker.
