I searched the documentation, forums and the internet for a topic on this problem, and maybe I overlooked the solution.
I have little space on my Macbook hard drive, so I would not want to install PC games on it: rather, I'd install them on any of my USB hard drives. However, there is no such option in Crossover. The drives are: Hitachi with HFS+ system, Memorex with MS-DOS FAT32 system. Both of these work fine with my Mac, and I run Mac programmes from them.
Will this be implemented, or is this a problem with PC games? If not, I'll have to wait until I have a significantly larger hard drive in my Mac.
CrossOver doesn't have direct support for this, but there are two ways you can do it nevertheless:
1) Tell the windows games to install in Z:\Volumes\MyUSBDrive
2) Move the bottle from ~/Library/Application support/CrossOver Games/Bottle/ to Z:\Volumes\MyUSBDrive and symlink it back.
Please Note: This Forum is for non-application specific questions relating to installation/configuration of CrossOver. All application-specific posts to this Forum will be moved to their appropriate Compatibility Center Forum.
