I bought CrossOver Mac just for MM2 and can't get it to work.

The first problem is that if you read carefully, you will see that this forum doesn't allow discussion about cracks or no-cd patch. Codeweavers is an American company, and American laws applicable to that subject really don't allow this kind discussion. This would explain why you didn't get any answer. If you go that way, you are entirely on your own.

The second problem is that if the cd isn't perfectly detected, there a bunch of anti-piracy DRMs out there that just don't work with Crossover. In fact, I remember that StarWars BattleFront's DRM didn't even work correctly on Windows, let alone Crossover. Guess how happy I was that DRM was preventing a legally bought game from running on a Windows machine... I don't know by whom your game was rated, or if they used some patch to get it to run. They surely should not have rated the game gold if a crack was used.

That being said, that is why Crossover has a fully functionning demo available, so you can test on your system before you buy. That being said, I would suggest you write to info@codeweavers.com explaining that you bought Crossover upon consideration of that evaluation, for a very specific game, and you can't run it. Perhaps they can do something for you, as they are usually very understanding. I'm not a staff member, so no promises.
