I'd like to have crossover (14.1) running all the time instead of launching it every time I use a bottled app, this speeds up starting the bottles by a great amount of time.
But I hate having the crossover-icon in the dock. It's not an app we use actively, so it should not be visible there.
While fiddling with plists might achieve part of this goal, I'd much prefer an official solution. Could codeweavers put in a preference to switch to a menulet, so we still have access to crossover if needed?
I'll file a feature request for that. Not sure if or when it might happen though.
