Crossover blocking Games Internet Connection/Connection to Servers

Hey guys,

I got a prblem with Crossover and Battlefield 2. Installation and Singleplayer work great. Problem is that I cant connect to the Servers ingame. The connection somehow seems to be blocked by a firewall or so.

Is there any Firewall running in the Crossover (Version 19.0) Bottles? I dont have a active firewall on my mac and dont us Antivirus. I use Wifi and never used ethernet.

Any Tipps? (BF2 Forum is dead btw, thats why I post here)

Salute!

I have a similar issue trying to run games over a local area network. I suspect there's something that needs to be turned on in the bottle creation process, but I'm not sure what, so I would also be interested in the solution.

For the record, trying to run LAN games of Dungeon Keeper 2 and Heroes of Might & Magic III.

Out of curiosity do you have Wine Mono in the bottles that can't connect to the internet? (I had it while I was trying to troubleshoot an app crashing and had Crossover 19.0 install Wine Mono from source.winehq.org/winemono.php?v4.9.4, and then the internet in the bottle stopped working)

I am experiencing the same thing, but with a different game. I can see all the available servers to join, but when I try to join it cannot connect.

MAJOR DISCOVERY:
I installed the game on a windows computer and when joining a server the firewall gets prompted. then I had to allow it before I was able to join. So I guess the firewall is the issue. In my Mac settings I allowed crossover and the game exe and I disabled the firewall, but it isn't working. So my question is if there is a fix to stop what ever is blocking the game from entering a server.

Running on Catalina with crossover 19.

I am also trying to play the Heroes of Might & Magic III (HoTA version 1.6.1) using TCP/IP, CrossOver 19, macOS Catalina - with no luck, unfortunately. Installing DirectX didn't change anything.
