When trying to install Age of Mythology in Steam it gets to the very end and I get a strange error.
mscorsvw.exe - Assert Failure
Expression: [mscorlib recursive resource lookup bug]
Description: Infinite recursion during resource lookup within mscorlib. This may be a bug in mscorlib, or potentially in certain extensibility points such as assembly resolve events or CultureInfo names.
Resource name: ArgumentNull_Generic
Choosing Abort, Retry, or Ignore results in the windows just popping up again and I have to Force Quit Crossover completely.
I have the same problem, and fortunately I got a quick answer from them: "As it turns out, this a known issue with DX11 games. Age of Mythology requires DirectX 11 compatibility which MacOS does not support. Unfortunately this game will not run via crossover at this time. We have an existing bug for AOM and hope to have it addressed in the next build of crossover."
I don't know if it is going to be fixed for the next update on crossover, but I hope so
