Crossover 21 update triggers unending loop of antivirus and malicious file warnings and notifications

Just updated to CO21. After the update, there was an OS notification about a crashed WINE process, and then the "malicious file blocked" and "threat deleted" notifications started.

I'm was getting an unending loop of notifications about blocked malicious files from Netgear's Nighthawk security program, and Bitdefender's antivirus.
Running OS X 11.4 and CO 21 (just updated a short while ago). No new programs or bottles have been installed in years.

I'm currently at 100 notifications about deleted or blocked files and the notifications ran for 14 minutes w/o interruption, before stopping.

Edit: May be an issue better addressed by support, I've emailed them. Left it up as an FYI for anyone else experience an issue.

Hi there,

Unfortunately, CrossOver triggers false positives for some antivirus software :/ Please see the following posts for more info.

Best,
Meredith

Thanks. Support also reached out.

Unfortunately, some programs like Netgear's Armor don't seem to allow for location specific exceptions, so you'd need to manually unblock each of the ~200 blocked file flags as they arise in rapid succession.
