Excel crashes when I click on a url on a worksheet

I installed Office 2010 on my Crossover on Mac with OS 10.9.2. Whenever I click on a url on the excel sheet which tries to open browser, Excel crashes.

Does it mean, I need to install a browser too on Crossover?

You could try that, although I think it normally would go to your native mac browser, but yeah try installing Internet Explorer 7.

I would not recommend installing a browser with CrossOver.

The crash is a known issue. You can file a Support Ticket and ask to be added to bug number 11225 for updates on this issue.
