Battle.net black screen / Game was not found

Hi all,

I tried to install COD MW2 via Battle.net today. After logging into Battle.net a window appeared saying that no game was found. When I click this window away I have another big window in the background which is only black. I cannot do anything about it.

I also tried to open the COD MW2 exe via "find", but it doesn't find the .exe in the dropped folder.

But since my main problem is this black window, I would be glad to get some help from you.

Best regards
crasher

I'm assuming you're meaning the newer MW2, being DirectX12 this will not work.

But I do not even come so far to install the game? That's virtually at Battle.net, to then first select and install COD MW2.

No one has an idea ...?

Hi there,

How did you install Battle.net?

Best,
Meredith

I search Call of Duty MW2, then I replace the installation instead of the deposited Steam with Battle.net and click on Install. The bottom below where I can select something else, I leave untouched. How else should I do it?

Search for "Battle.net Desktop App" and install it that way. Our profile has special configuration for rendering the Battle.net client.

Best,
Meredith

Thank you. Now I can install Battle.net and have no black screen and can also select COD MW to install. However, I can not play it. An error appears:

What is the reason for this?

According to https://applesilicongames.com/games/CN4PBNmeaWp51ZEdQknQTP/call-of-duty-4-modern-warfare the game should work. This is not because of Battle.net instead of Steam...?

Are you trying to play Modern Warfare or Modern Warfare 2? You've said both in your posts.

If you're trying to play Modern Warfare 2, as mentioned above, that is currently not supported: it uses DirectX 12, and additionally, it uses anti-cheat that we can't get around.

I can't speak to the ratings on Apple Silicon Games, but our database also shows that Modern Warfare doesn't run on current CrossOver versions: https://www.codeweavers.com/compatibility/crossover/call-of-duty-modern-warfare

Best,
Meredith

Both and. I have tried both. The error occurs with both. What is the reason? Is it because of the directx12? Why can't Crossover handle this or offer this?
