I am trying to install The Witcher 2 Enhanced Edition with crossover for mac. It will fully install, but when I click on the launcher I get this error message:

The program launcher.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience. This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine.

Wine dbg then freezes and I have to close crossover or restart the computer. Please help!

My MBP stats:

macOS Mojave
version 10.14.6
MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2019)
Processor 2.6 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory 16 GB 2400 MHz DDR4
Graphics Intel UHD Graphics 630 1536 MB

And I know the app works b/c I put it on my windows machine, it's just really old and has a hard time running it w/out lagging.

Hey Josh,

I'm not a Crossover developer but I think the problem is due to lack of DirectX 11 support in Crossover 18.x. I haven't played the game in a while but I remember the graphics were fairly demanding. Once Crossover 19 is ready, you might be able to play this title. Alternatively, is there any way to select renderers before the game launches and force it back to the older DX9 which is supported by Crossover?

Do you have the steam version of The Witcher 2: Enhanced Edition? If that is the case, they do offer a supported macOS version.
