(v19, Catalina) Altirra (Atari emulator) slows down after connecting ps4/xbox controller

I've tried to run Altirra atari emulator (windows 7, 10 32/64 bit bottles on Macbook Air, Catalina ) and it works great apart from one little thing - after connecting ps4/xbox controller (bluetooth or usb) it slows down significantly. Cpu usage rises from 125 to 155. FPS is down from 50 to 25-30 resulting in stuttering.

Any ideas what is the problem?

In latest test version of Altirra (3.90. test20) there is no more slowdown. So maybe this bug was not crossover related. Anyway, thanks for all the hard work!
