changing ownership of files to install BYOND

I am trying to run BYOND on crossover for android on an acer chromebook r11 and I'm getting an error message that says "access to c //users/crossover/my documents/byond/pager/custom/alert-corner.png was denied". I have tried to ask for help on the byond forums and they tell me to try and change the owner of the files from root to user. does anyone know how to accomplish this on the android version, or more preferably, has anyone had any luck installing BYOND themselves

One question Aiden,

and I don't know whether or not it will help, but it might. Are you running the latest version of CrossOver on Chrome OS Beta? It is v18.1.0 (not 18.0.0) and I don't think it's been widely advertised. It fixed some issues I was having with PowerPoint, perhaps it will help you...

I am on version 18.1, good suggestion though.

Well,

I just downloaded and installed it for kicks. Even though it gives that error message, I ran taskmgr and it showed BYOND.exe was running. Not sure what it's supposed to do after that point, but running it on my Windows machine, minus the error message, I had the same result. I fired up Dream Maker too and it at least ran (didn't try to compile anything though). That's about all I can do, maybe it'll be of some help...

BYOND installed fine on my PixelBook from the *.exe file using CrossOver
