Steam no longer supported on your operating system???

Hello folks!

This is my first attempt at CrossOver, so be nice...

My daughter has a Chromebook. I installed CrossOver, which seems to be working. She wants to be able to play Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. Okay, bought it on Steam, should work, I think. Installed the recognized app in CrossOver. Tried to launch Steam from the bottle. It came back with the error message shown above.

Any hints what I'm doing wrong?

Hi there,

It sounds like potentially you have the bottle type set to winxp. Make sure that when you install Steam, the bottle type is set to win7.

Also, you are using the Linux product on the Chromebook right? As far as I know, Steam won't work with the old CrossOver beta product in the Play Store.
