Installing mod manager for a Steam game

Hi there, I am wondering what is the best practice for installing a mod manager (OBMM - Oblivion Mod Manager) for a Steam game (TES IV Oblivion). Should it go in the same bottle as Steam or have its own? Anything else I should take care of for the mod manager to communicate with the Steam game?

Btw, if you are aware of better ways to manage Oblivion's mods, do let me know.

Thank you.

I'm not familiar with this particular program, but in general this sort of thing will be more likely to work if it's installed in the same bottle as the game you're using it with.
