I have delayed upgrading my primary Mac to Catalina until Quicken 2017 Home and Business can port (via CrossOver). I currently have a working, stable, Mojave install. With the welcome announcement of public Crossover 19, I was preparing to install and upgrade. Reading this post gives me pause. I do not want to risk my currently stable install. If anyone knows of a way to preserve an older version of CrossOver, I would appreciate learning the process. Also, if anyone reading has experience upgrading to Crossover 19.X and Catalina, I would like to learn the most successful sequence (i.e. upgrade to Catalina then install new Crossover release OR installs Crossover 19.X in Mojave and then perform the Catalina upgrade). Thanks in advance for your input and assistance with these matters. I am aware that it is possible to revert to an earlier state (by restoring from a full CCC backup or similar image but I would like to avoid this “nuclear” solution if at all possible.
