Hi all,
I decided to give 8.0 beta1 a try with Outlook 2003, while most things are better I noticed a problem when I try and open any rich text email (just to view the email, not the attachment) with an attachment Outlook crashes, I'm not trying to open the attachment or anything, just opening the email itself. If I have the reading pane enabled and select a rich text email with an attachment it also crashes. Just to be sure it wasn't an install issue I also uninstalled cxoffice from my home directory and reinstalled Outlook, but the issue still remained.
Normally I start Outlook via the launcher in the Applications menu, if I start Outlook from a terminal (or change the launcher) using the command:
~/cxoffice/bin/cxstart ~/.cxoffice/winxp/drive_c/Program\ Files/Microsoft\ Office/OFFICE11/OUTLOOK.EXE
The default (which exhibits the crash) is:
"/home/mark/.cxoffice/winxp/desktopdata/cxmenu/StartMenu.C^5E3A^5Fusers^5Fcrossover^5FStart^2BMenu/Programs/Microsoft+Office/Microsoft+Office+Outlook+2003"
It works fine and Outlook doesn't crash when opening rich text emails with attachments.
I am running 8.0 beta1 on Ubuntu 9.04 x86_64.
I am running Outlook using the custom launcher at the moment and it works fine, but let me know if you need any more information to help track down the issue.
