window off screen on dual head display

i have a dual head display in linux, and chromium starts fine and seems to work, but when i click on the window, it suddenly moves off the screen to the right (i can only see about 50px form the left side). then, i can not move it at all, just make it wider, but then it moves off screen again.

xorg.conf:
server layout:
Screen "Default Screen" 0 0
Screen "aticonfig-Screen[1]" LeftOf "Default Screen"
Option "Xinerama" "on"

:^( Last week I tried the instructions for installing Google Chrome for Windows under WINE, found here http://www.myscienceisbetter.info/2008/09/install-google-chrome-on-linux-using-wine.html and I experienced this window moving problem on my dual head desktop at work. I put the problem aside and figured I'd try it again later. When I heard the news of CrossOver's port today I thought maybe they'd fixed it, but I guess not.

For the record I'm using Ubuntu 8.04 and KDE 3.5 and I'm pretty sure I'm using Xinerama (I'm not on that computer at the moment).

This bug is really a showstopper on multi-monitor setups.

P.S. For me, I WAS able to position the window correctly using ALT-click-and-drag. I think that command is handled directly by the window manager whereas dragging the titlebar is handled by the client program.

I also see this problem. I have two screens side by side. I'm using nvidia's own driver. When I move the chromium window, it is as if my mouse pointer is a left-screen's-width further to the right than it really is. Therefore I can use it on my right hand screen, but not on the left. Mouse clicks are not displaced, the problem only occurs with moving and resizing.
