Crossover chromium crashes every time
Posted 2008-09-16 12:15
I downloaded the cxchromium-0.9.0.dmg file for CrossOver Chromium on Max OS X. I have Core 2 Duo GHz MacBook running on OSX 10.5.5. Every time I try to launch Crossover Chromium, it crashes. The first launch briefly brought up a window saying Initialization in progress before crashing. Now every attempt to launch leads to immediate crash. Here are snapshots of Crash Report. All of the crash reports start of in similar fashion:

I am getting the exact same crash. It's crashing during the "Performing first-time initialization..." phase on an iMac.

Any help?

I am also surprised that code weavers has released this.
A waste of my time and bad publicity for code weavers.

I installed the ubuntu debian package. Most actions
just cause a crash.  I could not browse anywhere so in the end
I just un-installed it.

The google version on my windows xp pc is great.
I look forward to google´s official linux version.

I'm having that same problem. Crashed during the optimization, then crash upon launch.

At one stage, Crossover Chromium was a useful proof-of-concept application.

However, there is very little point in downloading it now. Preview builds of Chrome have been released officially by Google for both Mac OS X and Linux. I haven’t checked, but I wouldn’t be surprised if developer builds of Chromium for other Unixalikes (e.g., FreeBSD) aren’t also out there.
