How to Use Custom CrossTies

CrossOver Chrome OS comes with Cross-Ties "baked-in," which means that the CrossTies available on the CodeWeavers website at the time that the version is created are bundled directly into the application. This means that unlike CrossOver for Mac and Linux which update the CrossTies from the website on command, the CrossTies in Chrome OS do not update until a new version of the application is installed. The following directions are for using a CrossTie that is not "baked-in" to your version of CrossOver.

1) Right-click on the .tie file in your downloads folder and choose to open the file with CrossOver

2) CrossOver will open and display a warning that the CrossTie is unknown. Click "Continue Anyway" if you know that the CrossTie is safe.

3) CrossOver will automatically detect which program is being installed. Click "Install" to proceed with the installation using your custom CrossTie.
