CrossOver Support

Mint

When using the debian installer for Mint, the following command will install the missing dependencies CrossOver makes use of:

apt-get install libfontconfig1:i386 lib32nss-mdns libgnutls26:i386 libxslt1.1:i386 libxcursor1:i386 libxcomposite1:i386 libtiff4:i386 libosmesa6:i386 libopenal1:i386 libmpg123-0:i386 libldap-2.4-2:i386 liblcms2-2:i386 libgstreamer0.10-0:i386 libgstreamer-plugins-base0.10-0:i386 libgsm1:i386 libxinerama1:i386 libxi6:i386 libv4l-0:i386 libsane:i386 libudev1:i386 libxml2:i386

Mesa 10.1 Release

Affects CrossOver 13.1.2 and older releases.

libxcb has a new function:
xcb_send_fd

This function is not included in the version of libxcb that ships with CrossOver. The current workaround is to remove or rename the version of libxcb that ships with CrossOver so that the distro uses the version of libxcb it ships with instead.

To do so, go to either:
$HOME/cxoffice/lib
or
/opt/cxoffice/lib}} and remove or rename: {{{libxcb.so.1 libxcb.so.1.1.0

Installing .deb gives the error Dependency is not satisfiable: dpkg (>= 1.16.5)

For use with CrossOver 12.5.1 and newer. CrossOver 12.5.1 is the first release of CrossOver that is multi-arch enabled.

Unfortunately this means some distributions will no longer be able to use the debian installer. Ubuntu 12.04 is one of the distributions that is not functional with CrossOver 12.5.1 or 13.0's debian installer.

If you receive this error, please defer to the ".bin" installer available here and to our more detailed instructions available here
