Crossover 9.1 and earlier won't create bottles in Fedora 14 and later
This page is highly outdated and remains in place for reference only. For the most up to date information, please visit our general Fedora FAQ page
When using Crossover 9.1, or any earlier build, in Fedora 14 and up, the bottle creation process will fail with the following error:
Could not create bottle
setup:error: 'rundll32 DefaultInstall wine.inf' failed
cxbottle:error: unable to create the 'New Bottle' bottle in '/home/jack/.cxoffice/New Bottle'
There is no workaround to enable Crossover <= 9.1 to work properly in these later versions of Fedora. You must upgrade to Crossover 9.2, at the least.
