In Outlook go to Tools>Account Settings>Change>More Settings>Connection tab and check Connect to Microsoft Exchange using HTTP. Then click the Exchange Proxy Settings button and enter your Exchange server address as the proxy server.
Cancel the initial password prompt and let Outlook finish starting. It
will be working offline, in the lower right corner of the screen click
on the "Need Password" prompt and enter your password. It should connect
and sync successfully from there forward.
You may also need to enter your domain with your username and password when you start Outlook. So instead of just username: test you'd need username: domain/test.
If you are having an issue getting connected to an
Exchange server and are using Linux check to see if the package nss-mdns is installed and make sure it's the 32-bit version.
Also on Linux in a terminal run touch /etc/samba/smb.conf. Crossover can may call on ntlm_auth which is part of Samba but only works if the smb.conf file is present.
