Success running

I have had success running DAoC under the 6.0 alpha release. Run the command with "login.dll" in place of "camelot.exe" and the game will start right up.

There are caveats at this point, though.

You must have a fully updated client from a Windows machine.

The mouse disappears whenever it is over the app window. This is being fixed, as I understand it.

The game must be in a window or a "renderer creation failed" error is generated by DAoC.

Graphics are "old style" because the game coders didn't do a feature poll of cards and instead went straight for the name of the chipset and is pre-coded with what features that card runs. So, no reflective water, no fancy Catacombs toon models.

The game may occasionally just disappear - crash - with no error message. But this doesn't happen too terribly often.
