Coming back to Rift, but wont open ...

Hey all, I played RIFT back in the summer/fall of 2011 and liked it a lot, but just got too busy to play. Coming back to try it again.

I've patched up through 2.2 after hours of downloading, but when I hit play, my Rift-Patcher window minimizes then locks up. One time it minimized, then the patcher went away but still nothing happened after that. Any ideas? Do I need to delete all the bottles, and if so, does that mean I have to download the path all again?
