Is there any way to get STO to work with a GMA X3100 card? I don't care if it looks terrible--I just want try it. I have the game installed and run on lower settings, but it crashes before fully loading. I have tried it windowed and full screen, and have "enabled" my GLSL. Is this a hopeless endeavor?
I don't know if it can be made to run on that GPU or not. You might try the public beta of CrossOver Games 9.1 to see if it works any better.
You can also go into the Wine Configuration (winecfg) control panel, accessible in the Manage Bottles window, and experiment with the settings in the Direct3D box on the Graphics tab.
