WoW will not start

hi people...

I have looked through the forums and I can't find anyone having exactly the problem I have.

I am running crossover games 7 on centos 5.2.
I have attempted to install WoW, and get basically as far as running wow.exe, and nothing happens.

I think I have my gfx system running OK, since in the same bottle on the same config I have guild wars running just fine.
However, I can't get WoW working.

The last 4 lines of debug info look like this :

Any suggestions appreciated, since this is annoying me greatly :)

Cheers guys

Sounds to me like WoW is not installed properly. Does WoW.exe exist, and do you have read permissions?

I think so.

-rwxrwxr-x 1 djames djames 5120050 Aug 15 11:33 WoW.exe
drwxrwxr-x 2 djames djames 4096 Aug 15 11:35 WTF
[djames@low-dj-901 World of Warcraft]$ pwd
/home/djames/.cxgames/win2000/drive_c/Program Files/World of Warcraft
[djames@low-dj-901 World of Warcraft]$

The installation didn't show any errors.

I've now installed BC over the top of WoW (I have a BC account), and I still have the same problem.

Any other thoughts ?

What does

~/cxgames/bin/wine --debugmsg=fixme+all WoW.exe

do? (or /opt/cxgames/bin/wine or wherever you have crossover games installed)

It, in fact, does this...

[djames@low-dj-901 bin]$ /opt/cxgames/bin/wine --debugmsg=fixme+all WoW.exe
preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-68000000
preloader: Warning: failed to reserve range 00000000-68000000

err:dosmem:setup_dos_mem Cannot use first megabyte for DOS address space, please report
winewrapper.exe:error: cannot execute L"WoW.exe"
[djames@low-dj-901 bin]$

Or if I specify the full path...

[djames@low-dj-901 bin]$ /opt/cxgames/bin/wine --debugmsg=fixme+all /home/djames/.cxgames/win2000/drive_c/Program\ Files/World\ of\ Warcraft/WoW.exe

Thanks :)
