I am trying to install an unsupported app (Aircall), but the installation is stopping well before trying to install the actual application.
MS .Net 4.5 Framework is a required prerequisite, but never installs and just hangs with (Download progress: Downloading netfx_Full_LDR.mzz) and (Installation progress: Installing necessary components for .NET framework).
Any suggestions for getting through the installer?
I recommend installing .NET in a new bottle first (various versions appear as listed applications in CrossOver), and then installing your application in that same bottle afterwards. Hope that works better!
OK, I have installed .Net into a new compatible bottle and it completed successfully. When I run the application install, it fails almost immediately with the following message: [please re-run this installer as a normal user instead of "run as administrator"]
Sorry, you're out of luck with this application. Currently it is impossible to run an application as a user instead of an administrator in CrossOver :/
Best,
Meredith
