Getting hardware information through Crossover office

Hello

I'm in the process of trimming my application so it can run on Crossover office, however a major showstopper is that i cannot get system information from the pc running crossover office, if i try to read things like bios info which resides in windows registry on win9x up to windows 7, then all i get is empty strings. The same goes for HD serial number.
I need it because we use it to lock the program onto a specific pc, using a custom registration program.
So my question is this: How can i get this information through Crossover Office and still be compatible with earlier versions of windows?

It's my own application called Titlevision, a subtitling system that we would like to be able to run on Crossover office so that our customers can use it on a mac or linux.
The problem is that on a normal windows nt system (including windows 7) the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/HARDWARE/DESCRIPTION/System" registry path contains a lot of information about the current system, however all that is missing on a Crossover Office system, so where do I read it from on that?

Cheers
uffe
