now, im not sure if this is a crossover problem or a mac problem in general, but whenever i go fullscreen in any game at all it resets my screen's contrast level to 0. it makes everything look terribly pale, washed out, and in some cases its pretty had to tell objects in the game apart from each other.
im on tiger 10.4.11 with a gma950, but im pretty sure its not a graphics card issue.

It's more likely gamma values being altered, not contrast.
Although the following thread refers to a different situation
& OSX version, it may be somewhat related...see;
