CrossOver Support - Community Forums

I am presently using VMware on my MBP to access a dumb windows terminal (via RDC) for some legal specific programs that I use at work. Since IE is the only Windows program I actually run on my MBP, I bought Crossover 9.0 with the thought that it wouldn't be as much of a resource hog as VMware. When I invoke IE in Crossover, it takes me through all of the steps to access my remote terminal, but stalls when I click on the terminal that I want. By stalling, I mean it does not do anything and the message in the lower left corner of IE remains "Done." Any thoughts on how i might fix this? Thanks.

When you say VMware, what did you mean by VMware? ie, Do you mean VMware Fusion and IE inside of it or did you mean the VMware Infrastructure Client like vSphere Client?

I don't believe the vSphere Client works under Crossover...at least according to C4 I haven't tried it as I run it inside of VMware Fusion at the moment.

What version of IE are you trying to run? I assume that the webpage is possibly full of ActiveX stuff? Plug-ins? Is it a public webpage?

I'm guessing ActiveX stuff won't work in printing from CrossOver? This is the problem I am having and trying to fix.

Lots of ActiveX stuff may be an issue. I might try IE6 with ActiveX stuff to see if that helped.
