Well With this post i want to show the gamestatus at the moment and cover how the game works in CxG 9.1
It runs out of the box for Steam and direct2drive version, this because it has no cd copy protection.
Impulse Driven:
I bought this week the THQ collection and in the package was also Company of Heroes Gold (This contains Company of Heroes and opposing fronts)
from Impulse Driven. If you want to install those games then you need impulse. Well let the status of this software on crossover be trash....
So i needed to install the game on my windows laptop and i copied the whole content to an external diskdrive. Then i created an Windows XP bottle.
Copied the content in the program files folder via managed bottles --> advanced --> browse c:. Then i installed Directx9 modern and MS Visual C++ 2005.
After that i went to: Programs --> run command --> select relicCOH.exe and click: "save to program menu".
NOTE: when u click run it wont work!! you need to start the game using the program menu or you get an error.
When you use the program icon of the program menu, the fun will start!!
Steam:
For Steam the game should also run great.

DVD Version
Patch the game to newest version. The dvd version has cd copy protection(DRM).
