I have just tried installing Microsoft Office 365 with a trial version of CrossOver Office version 19.0.1 on Ubuntu 18.04.4 LTS. While installing via the application interface some dependency which I agreed to install, led to a large part of ubuntu-desktop being uninstalled. Only because I know my way around the command line was I able to install the ubuntu-desktop via one of the basic terminals.
I will make the install log available in some way, either as attachment of as a link to Dropbox.
Hmm. It worked fine on my home computer. I probably installed something that did something weird to the various libraries on the system.This can be closed.
