I want to get the full version of CrossOver, but the wording is confusing. Is CrossOver a monthly/annual fee, or is it a permanent purchase that you pay for once?
You purchase CrossOver and "own" it. You are eligible for a full year of updates. After that, you can still continue to use your old version, but you will no longer receive current updates. You will need to renew your license for those. AFAIR this is cheaper than buying a full new one, have to check it out, though. Not sure.
Edit: Just checked for my account. My license expires in December. If I renew before(!) the expiration, it will cost me 29 Euro. A full license is 59 Euro. Your prices might vary, depending on where you're from.
