Ver 22.0 Audio Editor Failure

For many years I have used Crossover [Linux & Mac versions] to run 2 windows audio editors, DCart & VinylStudio. Many cassettes, reel to reel, and LPs have been cleaned up with a few minor work arounds. In the newest release of Crossover, 22.0, VinylStudio simply fails to install. No problems with DCart. Both programs executed well with the prior version, 21.2, and no problems with several nightly builds that I tried. Reckon I'll wait for an update. Certainly, thanks and really appreciate all the hours devoted to programming Crossover!

I did download VinylStudio for Windows V12.5.3 and could install but get an error after starting the program

Assert failed:
file g:\source\hpslib\v12_53\winutils.cpp, line 2469 [6] (dump file generated)

VinylStudio V12.53
Windows version 10.0.10240.2 ( ), SP0.0

This onscreen msg is identical to the one that I experienced. Simply run the app, now, in a windows VM, a bit inconvenient, but works.

Hi Michael,

Just curious, which nightly builds worked fine for you? And if you haven't already, I'd encourage you to submit a ticket to our support team :)
